Capabilities
What headless commerce covers
Headless storefronts
A Next.js front end against the Shopify Storefront API — full control of merchandising, routing, and page composition without theme constraints.
Guided selling
Configurators and finders that take a buyer's real inputs and return the exact product and quantity, instead of a 40-item category page.
B2B and dealer flows
Account-based catalogs, quote requests, and segmented pricing for customers who do not check out like consumers.
Commerce and content together
Product pages, technical documentation, and video sitting in one information architecture instead of three domains.
Performance engineering
Server rendering, image optimization, and edge caching so Core Web Vitals hold up on catalogs with thousands of variants.
Checkout continuity
Shopify keeps handling payments, tax, and fulfillment. You inherit a better front end without re-platforming the parts that already work.

Questions
About headless commerce
Will we lose our Shopify apps?
Some theme-dependent apps do not carry over to a headless front end. We inventory every app during discovery, decide which ones stay on the back end, which get replaced with native functionality, and which are no longer needed once the storefront is custom.
Is headless worth it for a small catalog?
Not always. Headless earns its keep when the buying decision is technical, the catalog needs configuration, or commerce has to sit alongside substantial content. For a straightforward catalog, a well-built theme is often the right answer and we will say so.
